POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University men's soccer team continues non-conference play against the University of San Francisco on Monday, Sept. 7. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. EST at Negoesco Stadium and on ESPN+.
 

Last Time Out

• The Red Foxes earned their first win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Saint Mary's.
• Marist jumped out to an early lead with Ethan Ortiz scoring a goal in the fifth minute, with Caio Cavaletti dishing out an assist to give Marist an early 1-0 lead.
• In the 46th minute, Mani Diop sent one to the back of the net, with Adriano Iannello dishing out the assist.
• The Gaels responded quickly, scoring on a penalty kick in the 47^th minute to cut the lead in half.
• Chris Verheul answered for the Red Foxes with a goal, assisted by Gijs Velings and Cole Caviness to put the Red Foxes up 3-1.
• In the closing minutes Iannello scored a goal of his own to make it 4-1.

Scouting The Dons

• San Francisco was picked to finish tied for fourth in the West Coast Conference Preseason Poll.
• The Dons have gotten off to a 2-2-1 start to the season, most recently defeating Air Force 2-0.
• David Raphael leads the squad on offense with seven points this season--three goals and one assist.

• This game will mark the first matchup in program history between the two teams.
