Volleyball Heads to Holy Cross for a Midweek Matchup

The Red Foxes and Crusaders Faceoff Tuesday Evening

WORCESTER, Massachusetts – Marist Volleyball travels to Holy Cross for a midweek matchup on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. The Red Foxes enter the match with a 1-5 overall record after notching their first win of the season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes competed in the Denver Invitational, where they went 1-2 on the weekend.
    • University of Idaho: 2-3, loss.
    • SIUE: 3-2, win.
    • University of Denver: 1-3, loss.
  • Mallory Reck had another outstanding weekend, recording 59 kills, 43 digs, and five blocks across three matches.
  • Caelyn Dumas led the team in assists once again, totaling 138 assists and 32 digs over the weekend.
SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
  • The Crusaders enter the match with a 2-5 overall record.
  • Most recently, they competed in the Northeastern Tournament, where they went 0-3.
    • Northeastern: 0-3, loss.
    • Fairfield: 1-3, loss.

    • Emma Sorensen leads the Crusaders offensively with 92 kills, 107.5 points, and six assists.
    • Isa Glover has been a key contributor defensively, leading the team with 24 blocks this season.
UP NEXT
  • The Red Foxes remain in New England and travel to Rhode Island for the Bryant Invitational from Friday, Sept. 11, through Saturday, Sept. 12.
  • They will face Bryant twice during the weekend, with a match against Fordham in between.
