Biography

2022 Season
  • Played in all 11 games at wide receiver.
  • Fourth on the team in receptions (29), fifth in receiving yards (296) for an average of 10.2 yards per reception with a long of 31.
  • Caught a touchdown at Morehead State, Nov. 5.
  • Had season highs for receptions (seven) and receiving yards (69) vs. Valparaiso, Nov. 12.
2021 Season
  • Started at wide receiver and appeared in all 10 games.
  • Second on the team in receptions (30) and receiving yards (354) for an averaged of 11.8 yards per reception, and had one receiving touchdown.
  • Had season-high 82 receiving yards and a touchdown at Columbia, Sept. 18.
  • Had season-high seven receptions vs. Bryant, Sept. 25.
 
2019 Season
  • Appeared in all 11 games at wide receiver.
  • Caught 15 passes for 179 yards. Had first career receiving touchdown vs. Jacksonville, Nov. 16.
2018 Season

Accolades: PFL Academic Honor Roll.

Coach Parady on Scherzer: “Coming up from the always tough Shore Conference, Scott is a big, physical target at the wide receiver position.  He has sure hands, runs good routes, and can really gain a lot of yardage in a hurry after the catch.  Whether he lines up inside or outside, he has the potential to impact the game whenever he’s on the field.”
