2005-06: Made a name for himself in his first year in the MAAC, proving a threat both in the paint and beyond the arc for the Red Foxes… Finished the regular season averaging better that 12 points and six rebounds per game for Marist…Led the team in scoring three times and in rebounding seven, tallying four double-doubles on the season and 20 or more points in three contests… Shot 36.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc (24-65)… Ranked among the top ten in the MAAC during the season in rebounds, blocks and defensive rebounding.

Prior to Marist: Smith Averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds at a senior at Nyack High School before enrolling at Westchester Community College.  The 7-0 Junior led Nyack to a 22-0 start and earned first-team All-County honors in Rockland by the Journal News.
