Biography

2013: MAAC All-Academic Team… Appeared in 32 games making 26 starts… Tallied 11 hits on the year… Recorded one multi-hit game against Niagara Apr. 14… Recorded nine RBI’s during the season... Twice had two RBI games at Norfolk State on Mar. 2 and Apr. 14 at Niagara… Hit two doubles for Marist on Apr. 7 vs. Fairfield and April 14 at Niagara.  

2013 Game-by-Game

2012: MAAC All-Academic Team ... Set career-highs in both games played and starts with 21 and 14, respectively ... Hit a career-high .250 with 10 hits, including four of the extra-base variety ... Collected her first two career home runs, the first at Hartford on March 28 and the second as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning of an extra-inning at Siena on May 5 ... Had a season-high two hits at home versus Bucknell on April 12 ... Had a season-high four game hit streak from March 28 (at Hartford) to April 14 (vs. Saint Peter's) ... Went 4 for 6 as a pinch hitter.

2011: MAAC All-Academic Team ... Appeared in two games for the Red Foxes off of the bench, at home versus La Salle on April 20 and at Army on April 26.

2010: Appeared in 12 games and made 10 starts before her season was cut short due to injury. ... Capped a three-game hit streak with a 3-for-4 day at the plate on March 20 as Marist defeated Colgate 9-6 at the Rebel Spring Games. ... In the contest she had two doubles and two RBIs. Totaled 28 at bats as a rookie.

Prior To Marist: Zahka played four years of varsity softball and three years of varsity basketball. In softball, her team won the Middlesex League title three years in a row and won back-to-back Division I State Championships in 2008 and 2009. In her career she was name as a Middlesex League All-Star for four years in softball, including Middlesex League MVP for softball as a freshman.
