2017: PFL Academic Honor Roll. Appeared in three games on special teams.

2016: CoSIDA Academic All-District. PFL All-Academic First Team. PFL Academic Honor Roll.  Appeared in nine games as the long snapper and had two total tackles.

2015: PFL Academic Honor Roll. Appeared in one game.

2014: PFL Academic Honor Roll. Appeared in team’s final four games as primary long snapper on punts. … Had two tackles, including one solo stop.

Prior to Marist: Apicella is a four year football and three year basketball player at North Rockland High School in New York. He also played baseball and golf for one year. Apicella's team was section and league champions in 2010 and he earned the Special Teams Award in 2013. He was named to the Principal's List and National Honor Society. Enjoys movies. Parents are Noreen and Steve. Mother played basketball at Mercy College. Major is Finance.
