Biography

2018 Senior Year

Accolades: First Team All-PFL.
  • Started all 11 games at linebacker.
  • Ranked second on the team in tackles (69) and interceptions (three), was tied for second in tackles for loss (five-and-a-half), sacks (three), and forced fumbles (one).
  • Registered career-high 14 tackles, including 10 solo stops, vs. Davidson, Oct. 20.
  • Had seven tackles, one-and-a-half sacks, and an interception at Stetson, Sept. 22.
2017 Junior Year

Accolades: First Team All-PFL, PFL Defensive Player of the Week twice (Sept. 17, Nov. 12), FCS Honorable Mention twice (Sept. 18, Nov. 13).

  • Started all 11 games at linebacker
  • Led team in tackles for loss (nine-and-a-half) and fumble recoveries (three) while tying for the team lead in sacks (three) and forced fumbles (two)
  • Finished third on the team with 53 tackles and also broke up two passes
  • Had two sacks and a pass break-up at Georgetown, Sept. 16
  • Had seven tackles, two-and-a-half stops for loss, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, half a sack, and a pass break-up vs. Morehead State, Nov. 11
  • Had season-high nine tackles, including three stops for loss, vs. Drake, Oct. 21

2016 Sophomore Year

Accolades: Second Team All-PFL.
  •  Appeared in all 11 games as a linebacker and had 73 tackles
  • He had a season-high 12 tackles at Morehead State
  • He also had two sacks, three QB hits, and two pass breakups
2015 Redshirt Year
  • Sat out due to injury.
2014 Freshman Year
  • Appeared in 10 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams
  • Totaled nine tackles (seven solo), one blocked punt, one pass break-up and one quarterback hurry
  • Had season-high three tackles and a blocked punt vs. Valparaiso, Oct. 4

Prior to Marist: Barrett is a four year football and two year basketball player at Anclote in Florida. His team was Varsity Football District Champions and Barrett was a two-time Varsity Football MVP, First and Second Team All-Conference Running Back, First Team All-Conference Linebacker. Enjoys fishing and mountain biking. Mother is Luzenia Harris. Major is Accounting.
