Accolades: Freshman All-American (FCS Stats Perform, FCS Central, Phil Steele Publications - Second Team), Jerry Rice Award finalist, PFL Defensive Freshman of the Year, Second Team All-PFL (coaches' vote & Phil Steele Publications), Honorable Mention FCS Freshman of the Week (Sept. 1, Sept. 15, Nov. 10), PFL Defensive Player of the Week (Nov. 9), PFL Academic Honor Roll.
  • Started all 12 games at safety.
  • Had team-leading 89 tackles (40 solo), and tied for the team lead with four interceptions. Also contributed a pass break-up and a fumble recovery.
  • Had career highs of 12 tackles, two interceptions, and one pass break-up vs. Stetson, Nov. 8.
  • Had eight tackles, a fumble recovery, and an interception in his first collegiate game vs. New Haven, Aug. 29.
