The 2025 season marks Adam McGuire's second on Mike Willis' staff at Marist. He is in his second season as defensive backs coach, and he was promoted to recruiting coordinator in the winter of 2025.

In 2024, McGuire coached a position group that included Nate Robinson Jr., who was named an FCS Freshman All-American by Phil Steele Publications, and was an Honorable Mention All-PFL selection. Cornerback Austin Trimble was also named Honorable Mention All-PFL.
McGuire came to Marist after two seasons of coaching defensive backs at Central Oklahoma, where he was also the program’s academic liaison. In 2022, the Bronchos had three All-MIAA selections, including defensive backs Kobey Stephens and Dylan Buchheit, and had the program’s first winning season since 2018.

McGuire was a graduate assistant (2020) and defensive analyst (2021) at TCU, where he assisted with recruiting and a Horned Frogs’ secondary that placed four players in the NFL. McGuire coached the secondary and assisted with special teams at Trinity from 2017-19, and he helped lead the Tigers to a conference championship in 2019.

McGuire participated in Bill Walsh Fellowships with the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 and Carolina Panthers in 2022.

McGuire earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Lutheran University, and he earned his Master’s in Liberal Arts at TCU. He is a native of Baytown, Texas in southeast Houston, and made the move to Poughkeepsie with his wife, Madison.
