Billy Creed

Billy Creed is in his seventh year on the Marist coaching staff in 2022. This year will mark his fourth as the team's passing game coordinator, and fifth as wide receivers coach.

In the 2021 season, Creed mentored Dwayne Menders Jr., who tied the program's single-game record with 12 receptions against Bryant on Sept. 25.

Creed helped Anthony Olivencia earned Second Team All-PFL honors in the 2019 season, as he led the Red Foxes in receptions (36) and receiving yards (615), and tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns (three).

In 2018, Creed coached Juston Christian, who was named an FCS All-American by two outlets and set the program's single-game record for receiving yards and single-season record for receiving touchdowns.

In 2017, Creed also served as assistant special teams coordinator while coaching the team's defensive line. Nose tackle Eddie Zinn-Turner was selected Second Team All-Pioneer Football League.

In 2016, Creed assisted defensive coordinator Scott Rumsey in coaching the team’s safeties. Wesley Beans ranked fifth in the FCS in interceptions per game earned Second Team All-PFL honors. Mike Marston and Jordyn Jean-Felix were each named Honorable Mention All-PFL.

Creed spent the 2015 season at Lycoming, where he served as defensive backs coach. He worked for the Franklin Pierce sprint football team from 2012-14. He was secondary coach in 2014, and helped two players earn Honorable Mention All-Conference honors. For the two previous seasons as a graduate assistant, he served as running backs coach, assistant recruiting coordinator, and video coordinator. In 2013, Franklin Pierce posted its best record in program history at 5-2.

Creed also spent one season apiece as an assistant with two high school programs: Eastport South Manor and Byram Hills.

From 2006-07, Creed played wide receiver at SUNY Cortland. He then served as the program’s assistant wide receivers coach from 2008-10 while completing his degree. Creed also has playing experience with the New York Demon Knights in the Five Star Football League (four seasons) and the New Hampshire Wolfpack of the New Hampshire Football League (two seasons).

Creed earned a B.S. in Education from SUNY Cortland in 2010 and a Master’s of Curriculum and Instruction from Franklin Pierce in 2014.
