Bob Davies is in his first season as Marist’s offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2024. Davies, who will turn 29 prior to the start of the 2024 season, will be one of the youngest offensive coordinators in Division I.

Davies arrives at Marist after serving as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Carleton since 2020. At Carleton, he put together an explosive offense that put together impressive statistics while executing the offensive with fast tempo. The Knights have posted seven-win seasons in each of the last three years. Prior to that, Carleton did not have consecutive winning seasons since 1988 and 1989.

In 2022, Carleton set a school record by averaging 36.3 points per game, averaged 252.8 passing yards per game, and had its highest total of rushing yards (1,525) since 2015. The Knights set the program record with 278 completions in 2023 and threw for 283.5 yards per game. Carleton ranks fourth in the country in offensive tempo in the 2022 season, and 10th fastest in 2023.

Prior to his time at Carleton, Davies served as offensive coordinator/offensive backfield coach at Franklin Pierce in 2019. He was the quarterbacks coach at St. Lawrence in 2018, when the program set a single-season record for passing yards.

Davies began his coaching career at Princeton as an assistant with the offensive line and video coordination in 2017. That season, the Tigers broke the Ivy League record for passing yardage and ranked in the Football Championship Subdivision’s top five in passing, scoring, and total offense.

Davies is a native of Jackson, New Jersey. He attended Jackson Liberty High School and is a 2017 graduate of Monmouth University, where he was a backup quarterback and also served as an operations assistant.
