Jacob Hallenbeck is in his second season on the Marist coaching staff in the 2024 season. After serving as the Red Foxes’ tight ends coach in the 2023 season and spring of 2024, Hallenbeck shifts to coaching wide receivers in the fall of 2024. Hallenbeck also serves as the Red Foxes' video coordinator.

Hallenbeck played quarterback at Marist from 2016-19. He made six career starts, threw for a total of 1,066 yards, and threw for eight touchdowns. He added three career rushing touchdowns. Hallenbeck threw for four touchdowns and 215 yards in a win over Valparaiso in 2018 and had a three-touchdown game (two rushing, one passing) in a victory over Dayton that same season.

In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Hallenbeck coached at Wesleyan University. He was the wide receivers coach, special teams coordinator, and video coordinator. At Wesleyan, Hallenbeck coached two-time First Team All-League Logan Tomlinson, who then committed to the University of New Hampshire. Hallenbeck also served as interim quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator in the spring of 2021 and was Wesleyan’s JV offensive coordinator and play caller in 2021 and 2022.

In the 2020 season into the spring of 2021, Hallenbeck was an offensive quality control coach at Wofford College. In this role, he assisted coaching tight ends, offensive linemen, and quarterbacks. He was also a volunteer assistant at Bulkeley High School in the summer and fall of 2019.

Hallenbeck has extensive camp experience, including work at the Eric Mangini Football Fundamentals Camp, Tim Boyle QB-WR Camp, and Marist Football Camp. He has also provided individual quarterback instruction to athletes in his home state of Connecticut.

Hallenbeck is a native of West Simsbury, Connecticut. He graduated from Marist in the spring of 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and he was a four-time Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll selection.
