Audino led Union to five NCAA playoff appearances and five ECAC championships while coaching four finalists for the Gagliardi Trophy, the Division III equivalent of the Heisman. His 152 wins are the most in school history, and his teams posted a record of .500 or better in 20 of his 24 seasons. In his most recent time at Columbia, he served as pass game coordinator while also coaching the team’s tight ends (2016) and running backs (2017). In his first time at Columbia, Audino coached running backs and wide receivers, served as recruiting coordinator and alumni relations coordinator, and he was the program’s head freshman coach.

Audino also coached in the Ivy League at Penn from the 1986-89 seasons. He coached the Quakers’ quarterbacks and wide receivers while also serving as recruiting coordinator. His efforts helped Penn win Ivy League championships in 1986 and 1988.

From the 1983-85 seasons, Audino was Union’s offensive coordinator. The team went 25-8 with three playoff appearances and one berth in the Stagg Bowl. Audino also served as Union’s baseball coach in this time, and he led the team to ECAC championships in 1984 and 1985.

Audino was tight ends coach and special teams assistant at Kentucky in the 1982 season. His first collegiate coaching job at Albany, where he served as special teams coordinator from 1976-77. Audino’s first coaching position came at Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, where he was assistant football and track coach from 1975-76.

Audino has longtime ties to legendary coach Al Bagnoli, who won 269 games in his 40 seasons as a head coach. Both started their coaching careers at Albany in 1975. Audino then worked on Bagnoli’s staffs at Union, Penn, and Columbia.

Audino is a 1975 graduate at Notre Dame, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in History and Secondary Education. He was a walk-on running back who was part of the Fighting Irish’s 1973 national championship team under head coach Ara Parseghian. Audino earned a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Albany in 1977.
