Kevin Mill

The 2025 season will mark Kevin Mill’s first on Mike Willis’ coaching staff at Marist. Mill brings a decade worth of collegiate coaching experience to Marist, and he is serving as the Red Foxes’ defensive line coach.

Mill comes to Marist from Yale, where he was assistant offensive line coach and offensive quality control coach in the 2023-24 seasons. He assisted in the development of Kiran Amegadjie, who was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears as he became the Ivy League’s highest selection in the draft since 1998. The Bulldogs won the Ivy League championship in 2023. They ranked in the Football Championship Subdivision’s top 10 in tackles for loss allowed and sacks allowed in 2024, and they also ranked in the top 25 in scoring offense, rushing offense, passing efficiency, and third down conversions.

Mill coached at Trinity from the 2018-22 seasons, where he coached tight ends and fullbacks (2018-19), and the defensive line (2020-22). Trinity won the NESCAC championship in 2018 and 2022, and had its first 9-0 season in 2022. Mill coached Joe Samuelman, who earned All-NESCAC selections in his first two years as a tight end after converting from wide receiver. In 2022, Trinity ranked first nationally in first downs allowed and second in rushing defense. Defensive end Noah Glantz led the NESCAC and finished in the nation’s top 20 in sacks that season.

Mill began his coaching career at Guilford. He served as offensive line coach from 2016-17, and he was running backs coach and assistant special teams coordinator from 2014-15. Guilford tied its highest win total in program history and 2014 (8-2), and then broke it in 2015 (9-1). He coached running back De’Eric Bell, who earned three All-American selections in his career and set school and conference records for all-purpose yards.

Mill played collegiately as an offensive lineman at Princeton from 2008-12, and he was a teammate of Coach Willis. He was a three-year starter at multiple positions, and the 2012 Princeton team led the program’s biggest turnaround in two decades.

Mill earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton in 2013, and he earned a Master’s in Public Policy from Trinity in 2020.
