In his time at Rutgers, the Scarlet Knights appeared in the 2021 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.

Prior to his time at Rutgers, Weyl also was a graduate assistant at Vanderbilt for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, where he worked primarily with the inside linebackers. Vanderbilt appeared in the 2018 Texas Bowl.

Weyl was an offensive quality control coach at Princeton in 2017, where he worked with current Marist head coach Mike Willis and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Bob Davies. That season, Weyl also worked closely with the special teams’ units at Princeton. He was an offensive quality control coach at Monmouth in 2016.

Weyl earned a master’s degree in liberal arts and sciences from Vanderbilt in 2020 and a bachelor’s degree in history from Cornell in 2012. He played lacrosse at Cornell from 2009-11. The Big Red reached the national championship game in 2009 and advanced to the Final Four in 2010.
