The longest-tenured member of the Red Foxes' coaching staff, Tom Kelly is in his 40th year on the Marist sidelines in 2023. Kelly will continue to work with the Red Foxes' specialists.
In the 2019 season, Luke Paladino tied the program record with a 49-yard field goal, and made three made field goals of 45 yards or longer.
In the 2016 season, Mike Maccarone wrapped up Marist career as the program's all-time leader in points by a kicker, and set the program's single-season record for field goals made with 13. In his career, Maccarone was twice named PFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
Under the tutelage of Kelly, kicker Jason Myers established himself as one of the best at his position in the PFL. Myers, who graduated in 2013, was an Honorable Mention All-PFL selection the previous three seasons, and led the league in touchbacks all three years. In 2011, he set a school record with a 49-yard field goal at Davidson. In March of 2015, Myers signed a free-agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Punter Kevin Pauly wrapped up a prolific career in 2011. Pauly was a two-time Honorable Mention All-PFL choice. In 2009, he set the then-program record for longest field goal (46 yards). In 2008, Pauly set a Marist program record by averaging 41.0 yards per punt. Pauly also tied a school record with a 76-yard punt in 2010.
In 2005, Bradley Rowe set a Division I-AA school record with 36 successful extra point conversions in a single season.
Kelly himself was a placekicker for Marist in its days as a club program, kicking over the course of four seasons before his 1975 graduation. In 1976, Kelly received a tryout with the New York Giants.
Kelly lives in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and has two sons, Brian and Patrick.
