Biography

Recruiting Areas: Connecticut, Massachusetts

Rory Foley is in his first season on the Marist coaching staff. He will be responsible for coaching the team's tight ends.

Foley graduated in the spring of 2011 after being a four-year starter at safety for the Red Foxes from 2007-10. He is the program's all-time leader in tackles in its Division I history with 321, and was selected to play in the FCS Senior Scout Bowl in 2010.

Foley was a two-year captain at Marist, and in 2009 became the first true junior to be named a captain in Jim Parady's tenure as head coach. He was named First Team All-Pioneer Football League (PFL) as a senior and Honorable Mention All-PFL as a junior. As a freshman, Foley was named Co-MAAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-MAAC, and was a three-time MAAC Rookie of the Week selection. As a sophomore in 2008 when Marist played as an FCS independent, Foley set the program's single-season record for interceptions with seven.
