Megan Murphy

Megan Murphy was hired at Marist in September of 2021.

Prior to her arrival at Marist, Murphy worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the New York Red Bulls for six months, and then as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Princeton University for one year. At Princeton, she worked with the Tigers' Division I football and men's ice hockey programs. She also worked as a season athletic training intern for the NFL's Cleveland Browns in the 2020 season.

Murphy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Seton Hall University in May of 2019, and her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Seton Hall in May of 2020. Her research project, The Effect of Lacrosse Protective Equipment on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator Shock, was funded by US Lacrosse and was selected to be presented at the National Athletic Training Association’s 2020 conference and was later published in the Journal of Athletic Training.

Murphy is a native and current resident of Kingston, New York. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
