Accolades: MAAC Rookie of the Year, ECAC Rookie of the Year, Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Rookie of the Year (first in program history), finalist for the Kyle Macy Award, Second Team All-MAAC, MAAC All-Rookie Team, nine-time MAAC Rookie of the Week (program record), MAAC Player of the Week 12/20.
- Played in 28 games, with 16 starts.
- Led team in scoring (15.3 points per game - third in MAAC).
- Ranked eighth in the MAAC in field goal percentage (.526). Also shot .410 (16-for-39) from three-point range and .768 (109-for-142) from the free-throw line.
- Scored in double figures 21 times, at least 20 points eight times, and over 30 points once.
- Had season-high 34 points at Boston University (highest total by a Red Fox since 2016), Dec. 18.
- Had season-high eight rebounds at Siena, Feb. 18.
- Has season-high six assists vs. Quinnipiac, Feb. 20.
Ituka joins the Red Foxes as a freshman. A three-year varsity starter, Ituka helped guide his team to 56 wins in his career, which included three division titles and a 2018 regional championship. In that span, Ituka scored 1,640 points, and averaged eight rebounds. Off the court, he was an honor roll student in three years as well.
The Maryland native received multiple accolades from local media outlets in his career. After averaging 24.6 points per game in 2018-19 and scoring his 1,000th-career point, he earned
Montgomery Sentinel Player of the Year honors. In 2019-20, he was named Montgomery County Player of the Year, notching 26 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists per game. The
Washington Post listed Ituka on their All-Met Teams in three straight seasons, including Third Team honors in 2020.
