As a defender, Filippetti scored an astounding 16 goals and added four assists during his senior season. He was named an All-Star at the Battle of the Hotbeds and was a three time member of the Suffolk County All-Star Team. Filippetti, along with fellow signee Tyler Ammirato, helped lead the football to a Long Island Championship appearance during his senior year.
