Tyler Perrelle was hired as an assistant coach in the men's lacrosse program in the summer of 2019. He joined Head Coach Keegan Wilkinson's staff prior to the 2019-20 season.
Perrelle spent the last two years as an assistant coach at the University of Tampa. This past season at Tampa, he helped guide the program to its 6th consecutive Sunshine State Conference Championship, the NCAA quarterfinals, and a #8 national ranking. In 2019, Perrelle coached five All-Americans, the Conference Player of the Year and seven All-Conference players.
Perrelle helped coach Tampa's offense, which was one of the best offenses in Division II lacrosse. Tampa's offense scored 309 total goals in the 2019 season (3rd most in D2) , 181 assists (3rd most in D2) 23.3 points per game (11th in D2) and 14.71 goals per game (14th in D2).
Prior to Tampa, Perrelle was the head coach at Marywood Univeristy, where he also served as the Coordinator of Field Operations. While there, he led Marywood to a Colonial States Athletics Conference runner-up finish in two of his four seasons. He took the Pacers to an ECAC semifinal appearance in 2015. Perrelle is ranked in conference history for highest winning percentage in CSAC play. The Pacers have won 71.4 percent of conference games during his tenure.
Perrelle graduated from Binghamton University, where he played four years of lacrosse. While with the Bearcats, Perrelle appeared in 56 games, which is tied for fourth place all-time on the program's appearances list. He has the most career assists in program history with 55, and is second all-time with 110 career points. He also netted 55 career goals as a midfielder, which puts him sixth in the program's career goals list. He was named the 2012 team MVP and earned America East Conference honors as an All-Rookie selection in 2010 and was an All-Tournament Team member in 2011.
