- A two-sport standout, Capone was a captain during his senior year on both the lacrosse field and the football field.
- As a starting defender during his junior year, Capone helped guide Yorktown to a 13-6 overall record and an appearance in the Section 1 Championship Game.
- Named All-League his junior and senior seasons on the football field, and was also named All-Section his senior year.
- Made high honor roll his final three years of high school, and was on the principal's list his freshman year.
