- Wessner was a key cog in a defensive effort that held a #9/7 Army offense scoreless for nearly 30 minutes, . He also picked up a career-best three ground balls and did an excellent job on his individual assignment, helping Marist pull off the upset.
- Caused a career-high two turnovers against Hartford, and matched that total his next game against Bucknell.
- Scooped up six ground balls and caused five turnovers on the year.
Wessner was a standout athlete for the Explorers, where he was a 2019 state champion and a two-time state runner-up in 2016 and 2018. Individually, he was a team captain, earned First Team PCL honors, and received the Travis Manion Award for leadership and courage. Wessner has participated in the NXT Charity Showcase Team in Pennsylvania. His brother, Alex, played lacrosse at Alfred University, while his cousin, Jakob Phaup, is a current member of the men's lacrosse team at Syracuse.
