Prior to Marist: Hornberger was captain of back-to-back state championship teams for St. Anthony’s High School in 2013 and 2014. He earned All-Long Island recognition in both seasons and was named First Team All-Metro in his senior year. As captain of his club team, Smithtown Arsenal, Hornberger made three appearances in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, winning the title in 2013 and 2014. Smithtown Arsenal was also three-time Eastern New York State Champions and two-time Region I Champions during his playing days.

Personal: Son of Kenneth and Arleen Hornberger... Has two brothers, Troy and Brett.
