Prior to Marist: A strong and imposing goalkeeper, McDermott has had tremendous success at both the high school and club levels.  In 2017, with his Cedar Stars Hudson Valley club team, Dylan won the Eastern NY State Cup Championship, was a USA Cup Finalist and Wallkill Showcase champion.  In 2018, he also won the NPL championship and the APC championship.  At Monroe Woodbury High School in 2018, Dylan had a banner year winning the Section IX championship, the New York State Class AA championship and finishing ranked #5 in the country according to Topdrawersoccer.  Additionally, in 2016 and 2017 he was a Section IX finalist.  Due to his individual efforts, he was awarded All-Section IX 1st Team in 2017 and 2018, Varsity845 Boys Soccer All-Star Team in 2017 and 2018, Monroe-Woodbury Boys Soccer MVP in 2017, and 5th Team All-State 2018.
