Prior to Marist: Wong joins the Marist soccer program from the Gill St. Bernard’s School in Gladstone, N.J. A four-year varsity player, Wong played in three NJSIAA State Finals and brought home one state title. In his high school career, he scored 25 goals and assisted on 37 others on his way to earning All-Prep, All-Conference, All-Sectional and All-State accolades. Outside of playing for Gill St. Bernard’s, Wong also competed on the club level with the Parsippany SC Gators, on which he was a team captain. The Gators won the U-17 2012 North American Super-Y National Championship as well as the US Club State Cup during Wong's tenure. Wong represented the East Coast in the 2012 National Premier League U-18 Championship in Chicago, Ill. For his work both in and out of the classroom, Wong was named Gill St. Bernard’s Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Viggiano on Wong: “Jae is a skilled and tricky midfielder with great pace. He’s also an excellent student. If he develops physically, his game could really take off on the college level.”
