Prior to Marist: A dynamic two-way midfielder, Bounthong has scored six goals in his Academy career and was a starter for the prestigious New York Red Bulls U18 Academy team, which reached the academy playoffs as the number 1 overall team in the country in 2015. He participated in the Generation Adidas Cup in Dallas in 2014 as a starter for the Seattle Sounders and also appeared in the playoffs with their academy team that same year.
