2014-15 – Appeared in all 32 of the Red Foxes games this season, starting in two and averaged 21.4 minutes per game. Scored 142 points, averaging 4.4 points per game, grabbed 87 rebounds, 87 assists and 24 steals. Finished the season 50-for-146 (.342) from the field. Recorded a career high in points, rebounds and field goals made on Feb. 28 against Rider. Lai scored 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting, grabbed seven boards, tied a career high in steals with four, and dished out a game high six assists in 35 minutes of action, one short of her career high in minutes played.

2013-14: Appeared in 32 games with two starts, averaging 12.6 minutes per game. Finished with 88 points, good for 2.8 points per game. Had 33 rebounds, 55 assists, and 15 steals. Scored a career-high 11 points on Nov. 24 vs. Old Dominion. Had three rebounds on four occasions: Nov. 17 at Princeton, Dec. 18 vs. Northeastern, Feb. 1 at Monmouth, and Feb. 21 at Rider. Had a career-high five assists three times: Nov. 24 vs. Old Dominion, Jan. 19 at Canisius, and Feb. 28 vs. Monmouth. Made a career-high five free-throws on Nov. 24 vs. Old Dominon where she played her career-high 31 minutes.

Prior to Marist: Lai entered her senior season at Irvington High School, having already played four years of varsity basketball, and had scored 1,456 career points. She averaged 18.6 points per game in her first two years, which were played at Edgemont, before averaging 16.1 points per game the past two seasons at Irvington. Lai also led her teams in steals, averaging three per game over four years, and assists in each season while winning two state championships and one federation championship. She has been named All-Section and All-State each of the past three seasons and was named the New York State Championship MVP following the 2011-12 season. In the classroom, Lai is an honor student and a New York scholar athlete.
