Morgan Royer

Morgan Royer is in her fourth season as assistant coach with the Marist softball program in 2020.

Royer's responsibilities include working with all aspects of the program. She works with the Red Foxes’ catchers, infielders, and hitters. She will also be heavily involved in recruiting as well as camps and clinics.

The Red Foxes have reached the MAAC Championships in Royer's first three seasons. In her first season at Marist in 2017, the Red Foxes finished 37-22, finishing with their second-highest single-season win total in program history. In 2019, Marist won the MAAC regular-season championship, earned its third-highest win total in program history (35), and advanced to the MAAC championship game.

Royer came to Marist after having served as assistant coach at Penn the previous two seasons. The Quakers had an overall record of 45-41 during her tenure, including a 22-18 mark in Ivy League play. They advanced to the Ivy League Championship Series in 2015. In her time at Penn, Royercoached 14 All-Ivy honorees (seven in 2015, seven in 2016), an Ivy League Rookie of the Year (2015), an All-ECAC selection (2015), and one All-Region honoree (2016).

Royer was a four-year letterwinner at Saint Joseph’s, where she played in 145 career games and made 124 starts.
