Biography

Marist Record Book: Currently holds two top ten all-time ranks: #2 in career doubles with 42, #3 in career RBIs with 114, #4 in career at bats with 569 and #6 in career hits with 171. Also, holds four positions in the all-time single-season record book, three from 2011 and one for 2010: #3 in RBIs in a season (40), #3 in doubles (15) and #6 with 58 hits, as well as the #6 position with 13 doubles during 2010. 

2012: Second Team All-MAAC ... Played in and started 50 games for the Red Foxes ... The Red Foxes' cleanup hitter with 40 starts as the fourth batter in the order ... Her .302 batting average was fourth-best on Marist and ranked 16th in the MAAC ... Led the MAAC with 424 defensive putouts at first base ... Drove in the third-most runs on Marist with 29 ... Struck-out a team-low nine times, amongst batters with 30 or more at bats ... Had season-high three hits at Hartford on March 28 ... On three occasions had three RBIs ... From March 25 (vs. St. John's) to April 21 (vs. Niagara), raised her average from .256 to .314 with a season-high 6-game hit streak and hits in 10 of 11 games.

2011: First Team All-MAAC ... MAAC Player of the Week: April 4 ... Played in all 55 games with 53 starts for Marist ... Led the MAAC with 15 doubles ... Her 58 hits were second-best in the conference, one off of the lead ... Second-most RBIs (40) in the conference ... Posted the second highest batting average on the team at .333 ... Led the team with 20 extra-base hits with 15 doubles and five home runs ... A staple in the heart of the Red Fox order as she hit in the third position in 37 games and the four-hole in 17 ... Strung together a team-best 16 game hit streak from March 14 versus Morgan State to April 2 at home versus Siena. During the streak, she raised her batting average from .194 to .424 courtesy of 32 hits in 56 at bats. Also drove in 21 RBIs during this stretch ... Had season-highs of four hits at UTEP on March 19 and RBIs with five versus Temple on March 29 ... Went 20 games before striking out for the first time all season. Finished the season with just five strikeouts ... Stole first career base on March 14 versus Morgan State.

2010: Second Team All-MAAC ... Ranks fifth on the single-season doubles list with 13 as a sophomore. ... Led the team in RBIs with 31 and ranked second in hits (35), doubles (13), home runs (two) and total bases (54). ... Boasted eight multiple-hit games and led the team with 10 multi-RBI games. ... Maintained an eight-game hit streak from April 20-May 1 and had five multi-hit games during the stretch. ... Drove in five runs in a 9-0 win over Saint Peter's at The Softball Park at Gartland Field on April 24. ... Led the team with 215 putouts as she split time between catcher and first base.

2009: MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year, Second Team All-MAAC ... Played in 45 games, started 36, splitting time between catcher and designated player ... Was Marist's top freshman in average with a mark of .286, hits with a total of 30, at-bats with 105 and doubles with five for the season ... Notched a season-high four-game hit streak from March 25-28 in twinbills against Binghamton and Iona.

Prior To Marist: DiVirgilio comes to Marist after a strong high school career at Sun Valley High School in Aston, Pa. Her team was in the Pennsylvania state semi-finals in 2005, three-time Delaware Valley Champions, and two-time Pennsylvania District runner-ups. Individually, DiVirgilio was a four-time member of the Delaware Valley first team, a three-time choice for first team All-Delaware County, and a two-time selection for first team All-Southeastern Pennsylvania. Additionally, she was named first team All-State in 2007 and 2008. DiVirgilio led Delaware County in batting average in 2007-08. She graduated in the top 10 percent of her class, received the Aston Township Scholar Athlete Award, and Aston Sports Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete Award in 2008.

Personal: Nicole's mom, Louise played collegiate tennis at Drexel University. ... The daughter of Louise and Anthony DiVirgilio.
