2014-15 – 1X MAAC Rookie of the Week – Appeared in 32 games and started three as a freshman while averaging 15.6 minutes per game. Scored 114 points, averaging 3.6 per game and shot 44-for-124 (.355) from the field and 22-for-75 (.293) from three point range. Birchmeier averaged 2.7 rebounds per game, totaled 20 assists, nine blocks, and 12 steals on the season. Birchmeier recorded her first career points and rebounds against Delaware on Nov. 16, finishing the game with five points and two rebounds on 2-for-4 shooting. Scored a career high 14 points and hit a career high four threes against Boston University on Dec. 12, grabbed a career high eight rebounds against Northeastern on Nov. 22, and played the most minutes of her career against Quinnipiac (29) on Jan. 22. 

Prior to Marist: Birchmeier is a two-time all-conference and all-area dream team member. She was also named the all-area player of the year during her sophomore and junior year. As a junior she averaged 18.3 points, 12.2 rebounds and three blocks while being named all-state honorable mention. She is also an all-conference and all-district softball player.

Birchmeier is an honor roll student and member of the National Honors Society.
