Brittany Parker recently concluded her second season as an assistant coach in the 2020-21 season. Parker is responsible for developing the Marist forwards.
In two seasons, she oversaw the development of Willow Duffell, '21, who boosted her scoring and rebounding averages by 4.7 points and 3.1 rebounds, respectively, to earn All-MAAC First Team honors in 2021 and finish her career seventh in program history in career rebounds. Parker also nurtured the growth of Caitlin Weimar, '24, who was named MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year in 2021 despite missing summer workouts and experiencing a shortened preseason due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020-21, Parker helped guide Marist to an 18-4 record, including a 13-3 mark against MAAC foes. The Red Foxes won their 13th MAAC regular season championship, then won the MAAC Championship for the 11th time in program history, earning a 15-seed in the NCAA Tournament and playing Louisville in the first round. The Red Fox defense ranked fourth in the nation at allowing 51.1 points per game, a mark that's second all-time in a single season in the program annals.
Parker was hired in June of 2019, ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. That year, the Red Foxes earned a share of the program's 12th MAAC regular season championship, going 26-4 (18-2 in conference play), and garnering three All-MAAC selections in Rebekah Hand, Alana Gilmer, and Grace Vander Weide.
Parker adds nine years of coaching experience to the staff prior to her time at Marist, with stops at the College of Charleston, Western Kentucky, Morehead State, MAAC-rival Niagara, and Fayetteville State.

Parker arrived to the Queen City after spending the 2018-19 season with the Cougars. During her tenure, she helped guide Darien Huff and Deja Ford to All-CAA Third Team selections, while Arynn Eady garnered CAA All-Rookie honors.
Prior to Charleston, Parker was at Western Kentucky. She was a member of the Lady Hilltoppers’ 2017 team that swept the Conference USA regular season and conference championship with a 27-7 overall record and 16 C-USA victories. Three student-athletes picked up all-conference awards, and redshirt-senior Micah Jones led the nation with a 3.73 assist/turnover ratio that year under Parker’s watch.
For two campaigns, Parker helped lead Morehead State to 22 wins. During the 2015-16 season, the Eagles ranked in the top 10 in the nation across multiple categories, including fifth in blocks per game (6.3), fifth in rebounds per game (45.23), ninth in offensive rebounds per game (16.8), and 10th in points per game (79.4).
No stranger to the MAAC, Parker was a part of the coaching staff at Niagara for three seasons. In that time, she helped lead then-freshman Victoria Rampado to the 2013-14 MAAC Rookie of the Year. In addition, Lauren Gatto (All-MAAC First Team) as well as Kayla Stroman and Meghan McGuiness (All-MAAC Second Team) earned postseason recognition.
Beginning her coaching career at the Division II level, Parker joined Fayetteville State before the 2009-10 season. In that first year, she assisted the Broncos to its first CIAA conference championship since 2000-01, finishing the year at 20-10 with 13 conference triumphs. Under her direction, Deja Middleton was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year, while Tiffany Haywood was chosen as the 2010 CIAA Tournament MVP.
Parker was a four-year letterwinner at Saint Augustine’s University, graduating in 2009. She is originally a native of Waterbury, Connecticut.
