Kiah Gillespie

Kiah Gillespie returns to the Marist women's basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2026-27 season. Gillespie previously spent two seasons with the Red Foxes from 2022-24, helping Marist to 18 wins and back-to-back MAAC Tournament appearances.

During her first stint at Marist, Gillespie specialized in working with the team's post players and helped forward Zaria Shazer earn All-MAAC honors in consecutive seasons.

Gillespie spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Stony Brook. She worked primarily with the forwards and helped oversee the development of the Seawolves' frontcourt.

Prior to beginning her collegiate coaching career, Gillespie served as the head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach at Sports Medical Sciences Academy in Hartford, Connecticut.

Gillespie enjoyed a decorated collegiate playing career at the University of Maryland and Florida State University. She helped Maryland post a 63-7 record over two seasons, capturing back-to-back Big Ten championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.

After joining Florida State, Gillespie became one of the top players in the Atlantic Coast Conference. She was a two-time All-ACC First Team selection and a two-time All-American. She also became the first Seminole to lead her team in scoring, rebounding and three-point field goals made in the same season. Gillespie finished her Florida State career ranked among the program's top 10 in several single-season categories, including points, field goals, rebounds and double-doubles.

Following her collegiate career, Gillespie was selected 32nd overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2020 WNBA Draft. She continued her professional playing career overseas in Toulouse, France.

Gillespie earned her bachelor's degree in Social Science from Florida State University.
