Tiana Jones joined the Marist women's basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2026-27 season.
Jones arrives in Poughkeepsie after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of St. Thomas. During her time with the Tommies, Jones helped lead the program to the most wins in its Division I history and its first conference tournament victory. She worked primarily with the team's guards while also contributing to recruiting, scouting and game preparation. During the 2024-25 season, Jones served as an in-game offensive play caller.
Prior to St. Thomas, Jones spent two seasons at Wagner College from 2022-24 as an assistant coach and Director of Basketball Operations. She oversaw post and forward player development and helped the Seahawks open NEC play 6-0 during the 2022-23 season, the best conference start in program history. Jones also led scouting and film sessions and served as the team's academic, travel and referee liaison.
Jones began her coaching career at SUNY Canton during the 2019-20 season before spending the 2020-21 campaign as an assistant coach at Faulkner University. At Faulkner, she worked primarily with guards and helped the program produce its highest scoring average in program history. She then spent the 2021-22 season as the video coordinator at Saint Joseph's University, where she edited and coded practices and competitions and produced individual, team and recruiting videos.
A native of Queens, New York, Jones earned her bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Drexel University in 2018, with minors in Communications and Business. She earned her MBA from Faulkner University in 2021.
