Prior to Marist:Â Couto attended Smithtown High School East in St. James, NY. She was a four year varsity starter and all league Smithtown High School East. She was Captain of her school team and her ISA Academy team.
Couto was voted best 11 players in the tri-state area. She was a Top Performer at 2015 Jefferson Cup and the MVP of Suffolk County Section XI. Couto was Academic All League, Honor Roll, and Member of Spanish Honor Society. She is the daughter of Alvaro and Darlene Couto and sister to Justin and Matthew.
