- A three-sport athlete, Mullan played football, basketball, and lacrosse at Maine South High School.
- Mullan finished his career with an impressive 317 points, 204 goals and 113 assists. Including a dominant senior year where he scored 127 points, 73 goals and 54 assists and was named All-American.
- Mullan was three times named CSL All-Conference First Team. Along with earning First Team All-State in 2023.
- He capped off his senior year by being named the CSL Conference Player of the Year.
- Mullan was invited to the USA Lacrosse Illinois Senior All-Star game.
