Peter Manguiat

Peter Manguiat joined the Marist volleyball coaching staff prior to the 2017 season. He spent the previous season as a volunteer assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, where he guided the Panthers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 12 years and their third season of 20 wins or more.

Pittsburgh made it to the second round of the tournament in 2016 after defeating no. 23 Dayton. The Panthers also had the ACC Setter of the Year and two All-Americans last season under Manguiat's tutelage.

Manguiat has 13 years of combined experience with the Diablo Valley Volleyball club in Walnut Creek, California, as a player and a coach. With the club he has led teams ranging for 14U to 18U to multiple showings at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships.

At the high school level Manguiat aided College Park High School to an undefeated 2013 season in the Diablo Foothill Athletic League. The Falcons won the UC Davis Tournament and appeared in the North Coast Section semifinal that same year under his leadership.

During his playing days Manguiat was a two-time NCAA Division III champion at Springfield College. He graduated with a bachelor of science in history along with minors in sociology and political science in 2010. He is a native of Oakland, California.
