October 23, 2000 -- The 2000 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament will be held this upcoming Friday, October 27^th and Sunday, October 29^th at Fairfield University.

The Loyola Greyhounds (13-4, 9-0) grabbed the number one seed with a conference best 27 points. They will be matched up against the Gaels of Iona (7-9, 5-4), the fourth seed who finished with 15 points. They are scheduled to play on Friday, October 27^th at 3:30 p.m. The Stags of Fairfield (9-9-2, 8-1-0) followed Loyola in the standing with 24 points, to finish second in the conference. Marist College (8-8-1, 6-2-1) will be the number three seed with a total of 19 points and will take on the Stags on Friday, October 27^th, at 6:00 p.m. Marist's only two losses this season in conference came at the hands of the Greyhounds and the Stags. The tournament kicks off with the semifinals on Friday and the final will be contested on Sunday, October 29^th, at 12:00 p.m.
