December 6, 2000 -- The Marist College men's swimming & diving team has completed one-half of the dual meets this season with a 6-0 mark. The current MAAC rankings for December have been released and Red Fox athletes lead in eighteen of twenty-one events.
Senior Keith Nichols (Coventry, CT) leads the Red Foxes with number one rankings in the 100 and 200 backstroke, 500 freestyle. He is followed by senior co-captain Dave Dobbins (Rochester, NY) first in the 100 and 200 freestyle; senior co-captain Andrew Knutton (North Kingstown, RI) in the 200 breaststroke; junior Nick Lakin (Fairport, NY) in the 100 and 200 butterfly; junior Justin Burkhardt (Milford, NH) in the 1000 and 1650 freestyle; sophomore Mike Guman (Stratford, CT) in one meter and three meter diving; freshman Trevor Charles (Middletown, CT) in the 200 individual medley; and freshman Rob Dunn (Pittsford, NY) in the 100 breaststroke.
The Red Foxes also rank number one in the 200 and 400 medley relays and the 200 and 800 freestyle relays. The men's team will commence the second half of its season on January 13th against the Peacocks of St. Peter's College.
