Poughkeepsie, NY - The Marist College men's tennis team swept the Siena College Saints 7-0 in conference action on Tuesday at the Dutchess Racquet Club. The Red Foxes improved to 3-0 on the season, and 2-0 in MAAC play.

In singles action, Patrick Hofer (Villach, Austria) defeated Brian Onofry in number one singles 6-2, 6-3. Chris Hagen (Oslo, Norway) was victorious in number two singles, winning 6-0, 6-3. David Slater (St. Alban's, England) took the win at number three defeating Ed Roessler 7-5, 6-0. Martin Aldorsson (Kungsbacka, Sweden) won 6-1, 6-0 over A.J. Eames. Viktor Sapezhnikov (Brooklyn, NY) won at number five singles over Dustin Temple 6-0, 6-2. Mark Santucci (Chepachet, RI) claimed victory over Eric Reuter 6-0, 6-2 in number six singles. Alain Boletta (Abington, PA) also played and defeated Sean Kiernan 6-0, 6-0.

The team of Hofer and Aldorsson won their number one doubles match 8-1. Slater and Hagen competed in number two doubles and won 8-3. Sapezhnikov and Santucci defeated the team of Kiernan and Ciejka 8-2.

The Red Foxes return to action next Tuesday, October 8th, when they host Manhattan in conference play.
