The Marist College men's lacrosse team won its second consecutive game this afternoon, defeating former Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Lacrosse League member, Boston College, 11-7, at Bentley College. The win improves the Red Foxes record to 2-2 on the year, and 1-0 in MAAC play.
The Red Foxes, who were outshot 30-25, received a three-goal effort from senior Paul Donohue. Donohue has now tallied 123 career goals, two shy of tying the school goal scoring record, held by David Kiddney.
Marist goalkeeper Brian Schumeyer made 16 saves in the effort, allowing just seven goals. Over the course of the Red Foxes back-to-back wins, Schumeyer has made 38 saves while allowing just 13 goals.
Josh Ben-Eliyahu and Chris LaRose both scored two goals for the Red Foxes in the win over Boston College. Pat Scully had a goal and two assists in the effort.
Marist will return to action on Tuesday, March 26th, when it travels to Rhode Island, to take on MAAC Lacrosse League opponent Providence. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.
