Red Foxes Rally Past Siena 11-6 In Men's Lacrosse

Loudonville, NY-- The Marist College men's lacrosse team scored 10 of the games last 13 goals to rally past host Siena College, to earn a 11-6 victory in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC)Lacrosse League contest. The Red Foxes improve to 3-6 overall, 2-3 in the MAAC, with the win, while Siena falls to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in league play.

The Saints took a 3-1 lead one minute into the second quarter of play, but Marist would dominate the remainder of the game. The Red Foxes scored their second goal with 11:11 left in the second quarter, allowed a Siena goal 11 seconds later, before tallying goals at 10:37 and 9:05, tying the game with 2:23 left in the half.

Paul Donohue socred six goals and had an assist in the game, scored the final five goals for the Red Foxes, who allowed just two Siena tallies in the second half, and none in the fourth quarter. Brian Diele totalled five points, as he scored twice and had three assists in the win. Pat Scully score twice and added two assists, while Pat Van Horne had a goal and an assist. Jay Nahama added an assist to round out the Red Foxes scoring efforts on the day.

Brian Schumeyer earned the win in net for the Red Foxes, stoppong eight shots in his 60 minutes of play.

Marist will return to action on Sunday, April 14th, hosting MAAC Lacrosse League foe, Mount St. Mary's. The game, set for 1:00 pm, will be preceded by a ceremony honoring the senior class.
