Poughkeepsie, NY - The Marist College men's tennis team returned home from the UCONN Invitational and defeated Rider 6-0 in their conference opener at the Dutchess Racquet Club on Sunday. The Red Foxes improved to 2-0 on the season.

Patrick Hofer (Villach, Austria) defeated Frank Ruggiero 6-1, 6-0 in number one singles. At number two, Chris Hagen (Oslo, Norway) beat Chris Stanco 6-0, 6-2. Martin Aldorsson (Kungsbacka, Sweden) won his match over Elliott Eiche 6-1, 6-0. Freshman Mark Santucci (Chepachet, RI) defeated Dan Stupp 6-0, 6-0. Michael Nassif (Ames, IA) dropped Neil McConnell 6-0, 6-0 in number five singles. Alain Boletta (Abington, PA) rounded out the win with a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Mike Greenberg.

The Red Foxes return to action on Tuesday, October 1st, when they host MAAC foe Siena at 3:00 p.m.
