Marist Sweeps St. Peter's, 6-0, In Men's Tennis

Poughkeepsie, NY - The Marist College men's tennis team rolled to a 6-0 shutout of St. Peter's this afternoon at the Dutchess Racquet Club. The Red Foxes have won six matches in a row to improve to 18-2, and are 8-0 in MAAC play.

Marist swept the Peacocks in singles action, led by Patrick Hofer (Villach, Austria) defeating Mike Kobryn, 6-0, 6-1. David Slater (St. Alban's, England) won in straight sets over Andrew Maple, 6-1, 6-2, as did Mark Santucci (Chepachet, RI) over Matt Trytell, 6-0, 6-1. Michael Nassif (Ames, IA) didn't lose a game against Mike Mastro-Monaco, winning 6-0, 6-0, while Viktor Sapezhnikov (Brooklyn, NY) won by the same score over Travis Rogers. The sixth singles match was won by default.

The Red Foxes return to action on Senior Day, Wednesday, April 16th, when they host MAAC foe Manhattan for their last match of the regular season at the Dutchess Racquet Club, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
