Men's Lacrosse Falls To Mount St. Mary's, 17-10

Emmitsburg, MD-The Marist College men's lacrosse team fell to conference foe, Mount St. Mary's, 17-10 this afternoon. The Red Foxes drop to 1-8 on the season and 1-3 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action.

The score was tied 2-2 after the first quarter, but the Red Foxes got outscored in the next two quarters 8-2, making the score 10-4 going into the fourth. Marist tallied six goals in the fourth but it was not enough to overcome Mount St. Mary's offense.

Brian Diele (Stewart Manor, NY) led the team with a six-point effort, netting four goals and recording two assists. Josh Ben-Eliyahu (East Setauket, NY) and Pat Van Horne (Liverpool, NY) each had two goals for the Red Foxes. Ben-Eliyahu recorded two assists, while Van Horne had one.

Tim Iuculano (Silver Spring, MD) scored a goal along with Billy Duerr (Manasquan, NJ). Andrew Walsh (Liverpool, NY) added an assist.

Goalkeeper, Bobby Gross (Huntington, NY) made 15 saves in 52 minutes for Marist.

The Red Foxes return to action Saturday, April 5th, when they travel to Staten Island, NY to take on conference rival Wagner at 1:00 p.m.
