Men's Swimming and Diving Falls to UMBC 132-101

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- The Marist College men's swimming and diving team fell to the University of Maryland-Balitmore County (UMBC) 132-101 this afternoon at the McCann Center. The Red Foxes fall to 8-2 on the year, while UMBC improves to 11-1.

Senior Matthew Castillo picked up two wins on the day taking first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:45.55 and in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:10.18.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Kevin Connors, John O'Fallon, Matthew Miller and Wes Gardner picked up the victory with a time of 3:21.27.

Senior Anthony Manza earned two second-place finishes on the day with scores of 219.45 in the 3-meter diving and 215.33 in the 1-meter.

Marist returns to action against Seton Hall on Saturday, February 7th at 1:00pm for their final home meet of the season at the McCann Center.
