Huckleberry Resigns As Women's Soccer Head Coach

Nov. 30, 2004

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Marist Director of Athletics Tim Murray announced that women's soccer head coach Sheri Huckleberry has decided to resign her position, effective December 10. Huckleberry's squads have accumulated a league-high 25 MAAC All-Academic team members in her two seasons in Poughkeepsie. The team also received a team academic award from the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) last season, awarded annually to programs with a cumulative grade point average above 3.0.

"I would like to thank Sheri for her hard work in continuing to build our young women's soccer program," said Murray. "We will begin a nationwide search to fill the position immediately."

The Red Foxes boasted one all-league player this season. Senior captain Courtney Moore was named all-MAAC second team after leading the Red Foxes with five goals and four assists.
