Men's Crew Opens Spring Season with Third Places Finishes at Cornell

Ithaca, NY- The Marist College men's rowing team opened their spring season picking up third places finishes against Cornell, Michigan and Ithaca this morning on Lake Cayuga Inlet. The crews raced three varsity boats and two freshman squads.

In the heavyweight races against Cornell and Michigan, Cornell clocked in with a winning time of 6:02.8 followed by Michigan (6:05.9) and Marist (6:08.8). Conditions for all races had a moderate headwind.

The remainder of the races followed suit, with Cornell and Michigan taking first and second respectively with Marist placing third.

In the lightweight races against Cornell and Ithaca, Cornell again took first place with a time of 6:10, followed by Ithaca, who edged the Red Foxes by one second. Marist would place third in all remaining races.

The Red Foxes are back in action tomorrow, March 28th as they face Hobart College.
