Coach's Comments:
We had a perfect morning for racing at in Princeton today with exceptional conditions on the race course and exceptional crews to race against! This was a very difficult week for preparation with the weather at home pushing us off the water for 4 days and very little time to develop the lineups (particularly the fours) With more movement in an out of our top V8 crew it was a week for adaptation and the crews all did a great job of taking this in stride. In particular our 2
nd varsity eight seemed to find some new swing and energy this week that paid off in a strong race performance that was considerably faster than what the same boat showed a week ago at the Head of the Schuylkill. The crew got an opportunity to race the fours in the afternoon. Overall it was a great opportunity to mix it up with some top tier teams from around the nation and the crew showed overall improvement from last fall to this fall. With the fall season coming to close we're now looking forward to leaping into winter training and beginning our prep for a competitive spring campaign! A very special thanks to the families and alumni who turned out to support the crew!
What's Next:
The rowing team's next travel event will be to our winter training camp in January at Deland, FL.
