Coach's Comments:
"it was a busy day today in Philadelphia with our only full roster race of the fall and many of our athletes getting the opportunity to race twice; first in small boats, and then in the eights. Marist spends a good amount of time training in these smaller shells during the fall so this event is an opportunity to have some fun racing them and to show our depth as a crew. We placed our top pair on the podium once again including a repeat trip for Tristan Wistuba and our collegiate quad won their event in the evening to close out the day with a bang. In the eights Marist improved by 4 positions in the 2V8, 16 positions in the 3V8 and 8 positions in the V8 compared with last fall, all great indicators of significant speed gained since last fall. It was also very special to have some members of the Red Fox Navy joining us to race in honor of Jim Cockroft '73 and properly send him off by taking his shell for a spin on his home waters! We're looking forward to continuing to develop in the weeks and months to come. Special thanks to the Head of the Schuylkill planners for running a great race ordering up such nice weather!" - Campbell Woods, Marist Men's Rowing Head Rowing Coach
